We have just reached another milestone as the new Mergin Maps book was launched at the QGIS User Conference 2024 in Bratislava. It is called Collecting Field Data with QGIS and Mergin Maps and it is written by Kurt Menke and Alexandra Bucha Rášová, published by Locate Press. All of us at Mergin Maps want to thank Kurt and Alexandra for their hard work in putting the book together as it makes an excellent resource for anyone wishing to use QGIS and Mergin Maps.
One book that covers it all
Having more than 100k registered users, Mergin Maps is an important tool for the QGIS ecosystem, hardly replaceable for QGIS field data collectors. We want Mergin Maps and QGIS to be accessible for everyone, even if they are not a GIS expert. This new book is a great way for users of all experience levels to get up to speed with step-by-step instructions and detailed illustrations on how to use all of the tools in Mergin Maps.
The book is 137 pages and covers everything you need to know to work with Mergin Maps, whether you are new to the app or familiar with it. It includes basic steps of setting up a project, configuring layers and conducting first field survey, but also advanced workflows like project configuration and best practices for collaboration. It is an ultimate guide to help you manage your projects like a pro!
